Nothing but fun for kids with type 1

A program of Harold Hamm Diabetes Center, Camp Blue Hawk programs residential camps for children and teens, ages 9-17, with type 1 diabetes. Our camps focus on increasing campers’ confidence and diabetes self-management skills, facilitating the development of meaningful friendships between campers, and providing respite for families of youth with type 1 diabetes.

Camp Blue Hawk: Summer Camp

Summer Camp is five days and four nights of pure fun! Throughout the duration of Summer Camp, attendees will get to experience a variety of fun activities with their cabin and small group. Summer Camp takes place at St. Crispin's Episcopal Camp & Conference Center in Wewoka, OK. St. Crispin's is located on 450 acres in the rolling, oak-covered hills of Seminole County. The campsite is roughly 1-hour East of the Oklahoma City area, and 1.5-hours South of the Tulsa area.

Camp Blue Hawk: Teen Retreat

This past week we had our inaugural Teen Retreat. 16 campers enjoyed a weekend full of fun & games, talking about their experiences with type 1 diabetes, and making connections with peers. Pictures from the retreat will be up soon!

Thousands Strong Fundraising Campaign

Together we raised $4,520 for Camp Blue Hawk through our Thousands Strong Fundraising Campaign! This money will help us ensure that we never have to turn a camper away based on their family's financial situation. Thanks to everyone who donated to our campaign!
